Silk Road Business Cooperation (Xi’an) Roundtable Kicks off
Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Shaanxi provincial people’s government and undertaken by the Bureau of Foreign Trade Development, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce and steering committee of Xi’an International Trade & Logistics Park, the Silk Road Business Cooperation (Xi’an) Roundtable was successfully held in Xi’an on May 11. Vice Minister of Commerce Qian Keming, and Vice governor of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government Wei Zengjun attended and addressed the roundtable. The secretary of CPC committee and Deputy Director of the Bureau of Foreign Trade Development Jia Guoyong chaired the roundtable.
Commercial counselors from 24 countries (regions) including Russia, Australia, Netherlands, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Japan, ROK and Senegal attended the roundtable. Themed on “cross-border e-commerce and new opportunities along the Silk Road”, the delegates jointly discussed on how to deepen the trade cooperation against the background of the Belt and Road initiative and passed Consensus at 2018 Silk Road Business Cooperation (Xi’an) Roundtable.
As one of the events for the 2018 Silk Road International Expo, this roundtable aims to implement the Belt and Road initiative, further promote cooperation along the Belt and Road route, intensify bilateral and multilateral exchanges and realize mutually beneficial fruits.
